'On The edge' is about the short moment right between living and death. Everyone knows that if you pass that border, you will never come back and nothing will be the same anymore. Yes, it is part of life but it's too painful for everyone when it happens on unexpected time.  Sometimes I'm confused if he died or if I died.

The horns are like the symbol of bull and one of them is twisting because it is feeling very lost and even losing his identity. The other one is solid and locked up because once you turn, you stay there. Unless someone totally forget about you, you will be there. The smokes can appear and disappear. It can last short but it can also last long. You don't see what is behind, what it's covering. It's mystery. The eye shows that he is losing the battle and getting very weak. It is so painful that tears carve skin. The rose is beautiful flower, but it is also hurting because it has thorns.

After I started to paint again and this painting was the first one since my brother died.

The colors, light and composition are yummy

Excellent portrait reflecting the mood of the model

This painting brings to mind how fragile our environment is. On a recent hike in Lake Tahoe forest, saw how bark beetles have such a great effect on the forest.

Nice color, composition and mood, with wonderful brushstrokes! Love it!

Very believable use of color. Painterly brushstrokes and the glow of the sun through the tree keeps the viewer in the painting.
