    Description

Destruction of forests and regrowth are the themes embodied in my artwork. My paintings represent landscapes of trees that have been impacted in some way. To show hopefulness after devastation my paintings incorporate aspects of green vegetation. I paint from original reference photos of secluded within forests. This painting was inspired while hiking along a trail in Idaho.

Reminder of how fragile our environment really is!

This painting brings to mind how fragile our environment is. On a recent hike in Lake Tahoe forest, saw how bark beetles have such a great effect on the forest.

Excellent portrait reflecting the mood of the model

Nice color, composition and mood, with wonderful brushstrokes! Love it!

Very believable use of color. Painterly brushstrokes and the glow of the sun through the tree keeps the viewer in the painting.
