I started painting this one on August 2018 and it is finally done on June 2019. It is by far the biggest painting I've done and it also took the longest time.

A lot happened while this painting was getting done. I don't have much memory how this painting got started. I was just fighting myself day by day and kept painting in heavy stress under sky full of sadness. Well, what is the point writing my pain here. Anyways this painting took almost a year and I thought it had enough.

Cherry blossom, also known as Sakura means beginning of new season. This tree has a noose that's connected to it.

This guy offering you a noose is a blind person. Maybe it makes you feel a little more comfortable that he can't see you and he doesn't judge on who you are. His neck is stretched and with bandage wrapped around his neck, you can tell that he hung himself before too. But are his fingers bleeding from suffering so much from life or are they bleeding because at the last moment before he died while he was hanging maybe he wanted to change his mind and wanted to live? Rainbow looks beautiful but you can never touch them. The suspicious smoke coming out from his body makes you think he is not even real but maybe he is just not a human. Maybe all this cherry blossom are just bait for you. All foggy background blocks the view what is behind, it is unsure and you never know what's there. He is trying to make a deal with you that he will make everyone you love happy forever if you take the noose. You also don't know how things can be bad and what will happen to people around you because you didn't take the noose.

    What do you think?

The colors, light and composition are yummy

Excellent portrait reflecting the mood of the model

This painting brings to mind how fragile our environment is. On a recent hike in Lake Tahoe forest, saw how bark beetles have such a great effect on the forest.

Nice color, composition and mood, with wonderful brushstrokes! Love it!

Very believable use of color. Painterly brushstrokes and the glow of the sun through the tree keeps the viewer in the painting.
