A plein air painting of an interior seen from the sidewalk through a shop window at night. The moody interior and bright chandelier caught my attention, but what sold me on painting it was the pop of turquoise beside the chandelier, which was actually a reflection in the shop window of a store across the street. While the chandelier may look like it was quickly painted, it actually took me 5 tries to get it to look fresh and spontaneous, each time I had to wipe the whole chandelier off and start again. This piece has both thin and thick paint layers that took several days to build up. Challenging when painting it on location.
