This unconventional sky was real. No kidding. It was over my backyard in Dallas in the summer. The twilight sky was almost a teal blue and was occupied by these two disparate formations. The top diagonal cloud occupies the top third of the painting and is deep purple bordered on the top and bottom with alizarin crimson. The lower diagonal cloud begins in the bottom right corner of the canvas and rises to the bottom third of the painting. It is comprised of a gray and purple cloud which is atop an orange cloud and is topped by a bright yellow and white cloud.
