    Description

This is my first larger bear, done on gray with brass, red, and turquoise fine line work.  A favorite on my wall at the Arizona Fine Art Expo, it sold very quickly.

    A Flowery Village

This fanciful, flower lined village reminds me of a visit to Epcot Center in Florida a few years ago.

    Mangrove Roots

A view of colorful underwater roots ordinarily hidden from sight takes on an abstract quality and I feel the rhythm created by the repeating shapes, patterns, colors and textures.

    From a Memory

Can't you remember driving down this road? The artist creates that strong sense of such a memory with washes, few strokes and low value colors in a landscape painting that relies on keen attention to perspective drawing.

    An Incredibly Welcoming Table

The warm glow depicted in this otherwise ordinary interior space is masterfully executed. Great use of triadic color harmony, and clearly directed light and shadow make this painting work so well. I just love this painting!

    Ascension Through 3 Worlds

What I love about this painting, BESIDES the incredible attention to detail, careful depiction and rendering, is the symbolic flow of elements. Below is rock, hues of gray, replete with pattern and texture, but devoid of life. Next is the verdant green of the land, alive and vibrant with color. Finally, the element of life, birds in flight, surrounded by clouds and the ether beyond. The fence dividing the land and the air is broken, symbolically conveying the boundary yet connection between the land and all life.
