"Fire Roasted" was a joy to paint. A palette knife, something I don't often use, facilitated the rich detail on the jug and the soft, more impressionistic peppers. The rich, warm tones evoke the colors and sunsets of the southwest, as does the ancient pottery and peppers!

This piece was accepted into the Oil Painters of America, Western Regional Exhibition 2020. Beautiful, custom frame.
