    Description

White daisies are an interesting and unusual subject for me to paint, having never painted them before. I picked these from my garden and decided to setup a still life subject to place them in.

They were perfect for this particular arrangement. I noticed that the deep purple centres held a few minute flecks of yellow pollen which the bees had left behind.

A subtle gold thread (found in the objects) appeared to tie the various elements of the subject together into a unified whole while playing a subordinate but complementary role in the dominant blue colour key.

Beautiful approach - I feel the chill from the snow but the hints of the red background peeking through provide a lovely, warm contrast that's so inviting.

    Fun and very well done.

    Fantastic light!

    beautiful

This is a beautiful portrait. For this viewer that lovely face reflects innocence and purity, although that is perhaps not what the artist intended. Great skill is demonstrated with all the elements of this piece - particularly the textures of the hair and the cap. Overall it is an outstanding image.
