    Description

As I painted this scene of a backyard in Richmond, Virginia, I was joined by Bentley who lay down in the perfect spot, adding an unexpected finish to the composition.

Beautiful approach - I feel the chill from the snow but the hints of the red background peeking through provide a lovely, warm contrast that's so inviting.

    Fun and very well done.

    Fantastic light!

    beautiful

This is a beautiful portrait. For this viewer that lovely face reflects innocence and purity, although that is perhaps not what the artist intended. Great skill is demonstrated with all the elements of this piece - particularly the textures of the hair and the cap. Overall it is an outstanding image.
