    Description

Turned loose, his two companions parted ways and drifted off. They had grown bored of the city's diversions. They had gambled every night with the salaries he had paid them - losing some, gaining some, and ultimately wielding their uncanny luck that had served him so well during their travels. Rising up, he could see them looking back even as the thermals started pulling them apart over the autumnal red and gold of the endless forest surrounding the city.

Beautiful approach - I feel the chill from the snow but the hints of the red background peeking through provide a lovely, warm contrast that's so inviting.

    Fun and very well done.

    Fantastic light!

    beautiful

This is a beautiful portrait. For this viewer that lovely face reflects innocence and purity, although that is perhaps not what the artist intended. Great skill is demonstrated with all the elements of this piece - particularly the textures of the hair and the cap. Overall it is an outstanding image.
