    Description

Robin Hood's Bay, Yorkshire on the east coast of England. While visiting the location at low tide I was attracted to this scene (one of many). The water trapped by the outgoing tide resulted in ready-to-paint subjects. The design was purely natural with virtually no editing required.

    Summer Vacation

This painting shows patience, mastery with medium and a beautiful way of looking at the world and extracting what touches us about it. so good.

nice idea and great use of muted color. I like the fact that the mud or foreground sand & water have been made more important( via detail) than the buildings. Great painting !

Love this portrait of Robin Williams. It conveys the warmth and personality of this amazing guy so well.

This artist sure had fun painting this scene of the Universe! Reading the story with the painting, you can see how the process of painting is such a joy, and the artist actually goes on this journey outside the every day world to travel among galaxies and stars. Isn't that the real point to painting?

Although the title evokes something completely different for me, the colors, values, drawing and movement in this piece are wonderful!

Wonderful Native Indian portrait, with an amazing sense of movement and spontaneity, yet beautifully executed with a perfect underlying drawing -- difficult to achieve proportional correctness with respect to the angle of view. Colors washes and accent lines add interest and the upward flow really does convey the feeling of pride and purpose.

I love this night scene depicting Native Indians gliding in stealth across this slow moving waterway in their bark canoe. The angles of the bank and water reeds create a wonderful sense of depth. The composition is excellent, leading to a sense of a story by the placement of elements; the colors -- vibrate with interest from the range of deep blues to the red tinges of color on the canoe.
