    Catching a Wave

This painting evokes wonderful summertime memories. From a technical point of view, this is a difficult-to-achieve perspective but here the boundaries of waves and foam form an accurate depiction of the receding angles of a beachfront. I love the detail of the myriad broken and whole seashells concentrated in dips of sand!

Well, one must read the description with this painting. The artist projects such an enthusiastic spirit and I am immediately caught up! This painting surely conveys the fantastical, a place inspired by dreams of other realms -- yet within this world, shrouded in the lore of history and days gone by.

I wish there was more socially motivated art such as this one about beach erosion; the concept is well symbolized with falling angles and elements. There is color (life) above but a cold bareness below.

Very colorful meeting of shapes conveys a happy feeling. Looks like a gathering of boats -- as if they are all talking.

I love this scene because I'm reminded of a wild beach I visited just like this. It is so beautifully designed and detailed that I am instantly transported. The strong composition draws me up and into the painting, to the water and horizon beyond. It is a wonderful experience.

Beautifully painted, introspective and thoughtful portrait painted in warm colors of autumn, perhaps symbolizing the rich harvest of one's life experiences. The gaze is one of recalling memories gathering them all to a present moment in time.
