    Description

This painting was was done from some photos I had taken in Mt. Pleasant, Mi. during a pow wow.  It is to show the pride these people have in being a Native American from the past and into the future.  The photos were just a reference for this painting, it is the idea I am portraying.

    Pride

Wonderful Native Indian portrait, with an amazing sense of movement and spontaneity, yet beautifully executed with a perfect underlying drawing -- difficult to achieve proportional correctness with respect to the angle of view. Colors washes and accent lines add interest and the upward flow really does convey the feeling of pride and purpose.

This really speaks to me. Well done!

Just an amazing work of art.

    Amazing watercolor.

Beautiful, can feel the quiet and almost a cricket.

Beautiful approach - I feel the chill from the snow but the hints of the red background peeking through provide a lovely, warm contrast that's so inviting.
