    Description

This painting is devoted to my mother, who spent the most part of her life working a doctor. She’s a therapist and I suppose, that it’s one of the most difficult professions because there is not only need for having knowledge on the subject to identify a disease, but also curing it in the right way.

My father is a doctor, too, he's a surgeon. That’s why I have listened to a lot of stories about patients, their diseases and my parent’s feats.

It often happens to stay up too late or keep watch at nights for doctors and my parents didn’t have days off for a long time.

There is a late hour on the painting and it feels tiredness on my mother’s face. My purpose was to show her not like my parent, who I see every day at home, but like the person, who's in the medical sphere. She’s kind and strict at the same time on this painting because I think a doctor has to have such personal characteristics.

I admire my mother’s personality, who always understood that you can’t help everybody and knew how to get over it. I portrayed her that way on my painting.

Well, one must read the description with this painting. The artist projects such an enthusiastic spirit and I am immediately caught up! This painting surely conveys the fantastical, a place inspired by dreams of other realms -- yet within this world, shrouded in the lore of history and days gone by.

I wish there was more socially motivated art such as this one about beach erosion; the concept is well symbolized with falling angles and elements. There is color (life) above but a cold bareness below.

Very colorful meeting of shapes conveys a happy feeling. Looks like a gathering of boats -- as if they are all talking.

I love this scene because I'm reminded of a wild beach I visited just like this. It is so beautifully designed and detailed that I am instantly transported. The strong composition draws me up and into the painting, to the water and horizon beyond. It is a wonderful experience.

Beautifully painted, introspective and thoughtful portrait painted in warm colors of autumn, perhaps symbolizing the rich harvest of one's life experiences. The gaze is one of recalling memories gathering them all to a present moment in time.
