Central Park, in the midst of New York City, is a place where you can reflect upon your busy day. Stroll past the lake on a summer day and you might catch a glimpse of the frenetic city, serene because it is shielded by trees.

The theme of reflections in the water is archetypal and can symbolize many things.  Take the example of Narcissus who was so captivated by his own reflection in the water that he fell into it and met his demise.

Water can symbolize our emotions. Safe and helpful when we reflect quietly upon them, they can be hazardous to our health when we jump in too quickly.

This really speaks to me. Well done!

Just an amazing work of art.

    Amazing watercolor.

Beautiful, can feel the quiet and almost a cricket.

Beautiful approach - I feel the chill from the snow but the hints of the red background peeking through provide a lovely, warm contrast that's so inviting.
