This painting is done with acrylics that have metal in them.  The metals turn color with the patinas and then I highlight them with pastels.  The painting contains copper, brass, bronze and iron.  I was thinking of a gusher of water from the air as I worked on it.  It has a good deal of texture in it, and has been chosen for the cover of the fall "Where Art Lives Magazine" , an online magazine.  It is framed in a gold rimmed walnut floater frame that accents it perfectly.  I love this painting and I love this medium.  One cannot quite know what it will do, and I find the uncertainty and resulting adjustments so  much fun to do.  Here is the url for the magazine--please go to the magazine and enjoy the wonderful modern and abstract art.

Very believable use of color. Painterly brushstrokes and the glow of the sun through the tree keeps the viewer in the painting.

This painting just draws the viewer in. Really like the reflections in the puddles and the depth of field.

    So good!

This really speaks to me. Well done!
