This painting is of two wild stallions in South Dakota. All my wild horse paintings are sold with 50% of sale becoming a donation to a wild horse foundation of the purchasers choice. making it a tax-deductible gift for the purchaser.  It is my way of making the public aware of the need for preservation of our wild horses on BLM property.

I strive to capture their nature, unique to the world of wild horses, the magnificent beauty, and personality that is an icon for our country and a symbol of freedom.

Judge's Comment: "This painting has drama! The horse hair mane helps you flow through the painting with beautiful rests in the dramatic background lighting. This painting embodies the strength and virility that hair represents as well as the freedom that the horse symbolizes. My eyes are running wild and free through this intriguing and well designed painting."
