This painting is of two wild stallions in South Dakota. All my wild horse paintings are sold with 50% of sale becoming a donation to a wild horse foundation of the purchasers choice. making it a tax-deductible gift for the purchaser.  It is my way of making the public aware of the need for preservation of our wild horses on BLM property.

I strive to capture their nature, unique to the world of wild horses, the magnificent beauty, and personality that is an icon for our country and a symbol of freedom.

The colors, light and composition are yummy

Excellent portrait reflecting the mood of the model

This painting brings to mind how fragile our environment is. On a recent hike in Lake Tahoe forest, saw how bark beetles have such a great effect on the forest.

Nice color, composition and mood, with wonderful brushstrokes! Love it!

Very believable use of color. Painterly brushstrokes and the glow of the sun through the tree keeps the viewer in the painting.
