Arriving in Sedona, Arizona, Susan Faust became head of the ceramics department at the Sedona Arts Center until 1999. During that time, she painted and studied with acclaimed artists and instructors. She began teaching pastel classes and then workshops around the country. In 1999, Susan moved to the Pacific Northwest where she was inspired to paint “en plein air.” Landscape painting eventually shifted her focus to abstract painting.
Susan is the recipient of numerous awards and a featured artist in the PBS television series, “The Artist’s Workshop.” She has also been a featured artist in Pastel Artist International Magazine. Susan had taught workshops across the USA and Europe, and as an invited international instructor in Australia.
Susan is a member of the Oil Painters of America, the Pastel Society of America, The Northwest Pastel Society, and is a signature member of the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico.
Today, Susan lives and works in Port Townsend, Washington. Her art is represented by the Howard Mandville Gallery in Kirkland, Washington.
