Lidia Kosiorek

Lidia Kosiorek

Lidia Kosiorek is an accomplished artist with membership in the Warmian-Masurian Association of Visual Artists and a supporting member of the Polish Watercolour Society. She paints using a variety of media, including oil, watercolor, pastel and stained glass, with oil impasto being her favorite technique. Subjects include portraiture, figurative scenes, and—the Universe!

For Lidia, saying "the Universe" is among her favorite subjects to paint is not a remote philosophical concept, but a literal reference to her full time occupation. She just happens to be a professional astronomer who has worked with Planetarium in Warsaw and the Planetarium and Astronomical Observatory in Olsztyn.

Currently, Lidia lives with her family in Olsztyn, Poland, in the Land of the Great Masurian Lakes.
